Every 60 seconds about 20 people are abused by an intimate partner in the United States according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The first step in getting out of a relationship plagued by domestic violence is often obtaining a restraining order. Dr. Lori Love is honored to be selected as a featured speaker for a free seminar that gives the "in's and out's" of how to obtain a domestic violence restraining order. Dr. Love will focus on the psychological components of domestic violence. Superior Court judges will also review the law and the evidence needed to be granted a restraining order. The free seminar will take place during domestic violence awareness month at the North County Courthouse. Advance registration is not required but attorneys who attend will earn 2 hours of MCLE credits. The free seminar is presented by the San Diego Superior Court and Kathy's Legacy Foundation.
